Upcoming Blog Action Days on Poverty and Refugees
“11.4 million people were forced to leave their countries in 2007, compared to 9.9 million in 2006. Another 26 million were displaced within their own countries by conflict or persecution, up from 24.2 million the year before.”
- United Nations High Commission for Refugees

Blogging provides a great outlet to raise awareness, inform, and spark conversations. In the upcoming months there are two great blog action days taking place. If you have a blog, consider using your space for a day to change the conversation.
First, on October 15th bloggers around the world will participate in Blog Action Day on Poverty, a blogging event that aims to create a mass conversation on the complex issue of Poverty, and generate a discussion that gives rise to actions, advice, ideas, and plans.
Then, in November, Bloggers Unite for Refugees aims to bring awareness to the plight of the 11.4 million refugees, and the 26 million internal refugees displaced from their homes worldwide.
We all have the ability through our conversations to influence those around us. If you have a blog and would like to take participate in these important discussions, register your blog and learn more by checking out these sites: Blog Action Day and Bloggers Unite.
