It is absolutely tragic to consider that one month after the BP Deepwater Horizon explosion, oil continues to spew into the Gulf of Mexico at an estimated 100,000 barrels a day. (As of today, May 22, 2010, an estimated 54 million gallons have leaked into the Gulf over the past 32 days. That is five times more gallons leaked than the Exxon Valdez spill in 1989 — and the worst part is that the leak happening right now has not yet been stopped.)

When it comes to internet marketing, it’s important to think carefully about search engine optimization (SEO): the process of improving the visibility of your website via natural, organic search results. Afterall, you can produce a lot of really valuable content, but if does not show up in search results when people are looking for keywords associated with your content, then who is going to come to your site? Key factors to keep in mind when optimizing your content for search engines include: link popularity, anchor text, and the value of the incoming links.
I just watched this fascinating TED talk given by environmental icon, Stewart Brand. The thoughts he shares on urbanization, nuclear energy, and geo-engineering are provocative.
